Empower encourages our members guardians and parents go to the American Academy Parenting website. It has many articles and videos about issues that affect your child or adolescent. There is an opportunity to receive the AAP free parenting news and find pediatricians that practice in your zip code area that belongs to the AAP. But a warning, many but not all AAP pediatricians may below to the Empower network. Across the top of the landing page are different subject areas. They are Ages & Stages, Healthy Living, Safety and Prevention, Family Life, Health Issues, News, Tips & Tools, and Our Mission. Each of these pages has a wealth of information to use in guiding the development and health of your child. Particularly the Health Issues page has the conditions not only defined but different articles that magnify different elements of the condition. After clicking on the condition there will be a list of those different articles that are available. There are even videos that may be watched. An example of a condition is ADHD. Some of the twenty-eight articles are Early Warning Signs, Parenting Teenagers with ADHD, Understanding ADHD: Information for Parents, ADHD and Homework, Allergies and Hyperactivity, among others.
