Flu Shot
According to the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC), the flu costs the U.S. billions in direct costs, hospitalizations, and outpatient visits for adults. Recent flu seasons have been some of the worse in decades along with the COVID-19 outbreak. All members are encouraged to seek a flu shot in late September or early October from your pharmacist or PCP. There is no cost to our members. To continue the effectiveness of the flu shot it must be repeated yearly.
COVID-19 Shot
All members that are at risk for COVID should get the COVID vaccination. Discuss with your PCP if you need the COVID vaccination. If he or she thinks that you need to get the shot, he or she may be able to provide it for you or send you to your pharmacy to receive it. There is no cost to our members. To continue the effectiveness of the COVID shot it must be repeated as directed by your PCP.
Shingles Shot
For members that are over the age of 50 the Shingles shot may be a helpful immunization. Discuss with your PCP if he or she thinks it may be important to have the immunization he or she may send you to your pharmacy to receive the shot. It does not have to be repeated yearly. It is free to our members.
Pneumonia Shot
Some of the most common deaths for citizens over the age of 65 is pneumonia. Discuss with your PCP if the shot is appropriate for you. It doesn’t have to be repeated yearly. There is no cost to our members.
